During the kitchen remodel, there are many items to be taken into account and selections to be made. At the top of the list is often the type of sink. What type of sink applications are available?
First, it’s good to consider the application. For example, for kitchen countertops you can choose from undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse sinks.
1. Undermount Sink:
The undermount style is the most sought after design. Undermount sinks allow you to show more of the kitchen’s countertops, and they incorporate a trendy, seamless design. They are also easier to clean than other sink types as the rim is underneath the counter.
Undermount options can be found in a single bowl, 50/50, or 60/40 (big bowl, small bowl) set up.

2. Drop-In Sink:
Drop-in sinks sit on top of the countertop with the rim visible. Although drop-in sinks are a bit more difficult to clean than an undermount, they possess their own benefits. For instance, drop-in sinks are easier to install than some other types, and they tend to be less expensive.

3. Farmhouse Kitchen Sink:
Farmhouse kitchen sinks feature large, deep basins, and they possess a stylish, durable build. They also have an old-fashioned design which can be served for many household purposes besides washing dishes.

Kitchen Sink Materials:
Aside from the sink application, there are also different materials. For example, you can choose from stainless steel, porcelain, granite composite, copper, fireclay, and other kitchen sink types.
