Dolomite Countertops by Mogastone
Dolomite’s appearance is great for kitchen countertops and full backsplashes as well as bathrooms.

What is Dolomite?
Dolomite is a sedimentary rock that was formed on the surface of the earth. It is slightly harder than marble but softer than granite and quartzite. It usually has a white or light-gray color and is similar to marble and quartzite. Dolomite is a very durable natural stone and is also resistant to heat and wear and tear. Each slab is very unique and has its own veining that cannot be reproduced since it’s a natural stone. Although it may not seem as popular as other stones, it’s a great stone for your kitchen countertops.

Care for Dolomite
Although dolomite isn’t as durable as granite and quartzite, it’s more durable than marble and other non-stone countertop materials. It’s a natural stone and does need to be sealed periodically. Dolomite is heat-resistant and long lasting. To keep it in good shape, make sure to seal it often and to not leave spills to seek in the stone.
