What are Porcelain Countertops?

Porcelain countertops are made from ceramic clay and mineral coloring which makes it a highly durable and non-porous surface. They are very heat, scratch, and UV (sunlight) resistant. Porcelain is an excellent material for outdoors. It’s a non-porous material which can imitate the designs of natural stone. Although porcelain slabs are usually thinner than most other materials, it’s a great material for your kitchen countertops.

Caring for Porcelain

Porcelain needs very little care; you just needs to clean it with soap and water, and it’ll last for many years to come. Porcelain is not a porous material, so it does not have to ever be sealed. Since it’s thinner, it does have a greater chance of cracking compared to other stones, but in reality it doesn’t make much of a difference.
